Spring 2023 Trial Complete!

Once again, we have successfully conducted our Spring trial for the second consecutive year, braving unpredictable weather and a challenging training environment. This season is just shaking off the chill of winter, and giving us lots of rain in the process. This added a layer of challenge as we strive to prepare our dogs with the necessary tracking and practice ahead of the trial.

The variable conditions during this time of year can often be a deterrent for many, and thus, the turnout has been relatively low for the past two years. This year we got 1 BH entry and 6 IGP entries. Even though the turnout was low the trial was a complete success. Because in our training we are always setting our dogs up for success, the trial offers a valuable opportunity for us to evaluate our dogs' capabilities and understand their strengths and weaknesses better. This can be just as valuable as gaining that title to progress forward.

Furthermore, this trial is just a precursor to our fall trial, held in October. We always encourage and welcome participants from our Spring trial to join us once again in the fall, and hope to see many familiar faces - and tails!
